Board Meeting Minutes 5/12/2026
The board meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m. Roll call showed all board members present along with 6 residents
Supervisor Groy made a motion to adopt the agenda as written and was seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Minutes of April 2026 were read. Motion to accept minutes as read by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried. Chairman Younglove gave a quick update after the minutes were read; Shelia Downing does not have a dwelling on her parcel, only a camper so she is not eligible for a shipping container at this time. As for the Marek Road project, the timing would be 2028. The fire department should get delivery on their truck in July or August.
Treasurer’s report was read. Motion to accept report as given by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Recycling/garbage report showed that in April, 21.71 tons of garbage was collected and 2.74 tons of recyclables.
Report on building permits and fire sign applications showed 3 building permits and 3 fire signs. A 16x18 addition on slab and a 20x25 garage on gravel on Haupt Ln; a 38x48 dwelling on basement on French Rd; and a 12x36 addition to garage on Krueger Ln. There were 2 fire signs on Smitty Drive and one on French Road.
Clean Up Day will be Friday, June 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We will have a roll off for large items that cannot be put into the garbage carts. No regular garbage will be taken at this event. There will be a person here to collect metal items. Also we will have a team here to take electronics such as tv’s, computers, vacuum cleaners, etc. A notice is on the website and posted at the town hall and Patti’s Platter.
Board of Review alternates will be Jeff Mueller and Dwayne Hanzel this year.
Highway/road report is that the crew has been crack sealing and grading.
No correspondence.
Public comments were that Ed Cretens has not been getting his garbage picked up. The clerk will email GFL on the issue. He was also given GFL’s phone number to call. Also Jeff Mueller mentioned that there is a camper in a wooded area off County Z that has no fire number and a lot of garbage. Chairman Younglove will have it checked out.
No items for future meetings.
Open Book has been changed to June 5th from 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m. due to the assessor not being able to get the notices from Marinette County. Board of Review will still be on for June 12th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Motion to approve bills in the amount of $104,241.11 by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Next meeting will be June 9th at 6:00 p.m. Motion to adjourn by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:24 p.m.
