Recycling/garbage report showed that in June, 15.28 tons of garbage was collected and 4.83 tons of recyclables.
In June there were 4 building permits and 4 fire signs. Fire signs were 3 for Smitty Drive and one for Back Acres Drive. Building permit for a 12x28 shed on gravel on Smitty Drive; a 35x35 detached garage on slab with a 3x30 and a 6x30 foot lean to on County Z; a 32x40 one story home on slab and razing the old home within 2 years on Back Acres; and a 12x12 and 10x12 deck on Crowe Road.
Highway/road report showed that the crew has done some grading and mowing; have hauled some gravel; and that Smeester School Road has been pulverized. We also have two LRIP agreements signed, one for Smeester School Road in 2027 and one for Marek Road in 2028. Scott Construction will be in the town doing chip sealing the end of July. They will also be doing some repair by the bridge on Town Corner Lake Road. Jeff Mueller has done some tree clean up at the end of Hilltop now that the beavers have been trapped out and is awaiting a load of gravel for the turn around. The fire number replacement project shows that we can get a price cut for multiple signs and we plan to divide the town into 5 sections to do this project over 5 years. We already have a list of signs on US 141 that need replacement.
Correspondence was the fire department financial, a Marinette County Unit WTA is having a meeting; and Marinette County Administrator has resigned.
Under public comments, Debra Frank came in regarding multiple camping trailers on her property at W6801 Right A Way Road. She did not understand why she could not have multiple trailers and why she needed permits. Chairman Younglove looked at her letter and explained that she could request a variance but that it was unlikely that a variance would be granted.
No items for future meetings. There will be a blood drive on July 27 here at the town hall from 10 am to 3 pm. The community picnic will be held on August 1st at the park in Pembine.
