The board meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.  Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Roll call showed all board members present along with 5 residents and 4 guests.  Carolee Hirte, treasurer was absent and excused.

Supervisor Groy made a motion to adopt the agenda as written and was seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried.

Minutes of July 2026 were read.  Motion to accept minutes as read by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried.

Treasurer’s report was read.  Motion to accept report as given by Supervisor Wagner and seconded by Supervisor Groy.  Motion carried.

Recycling/garbage report showed that in July, 21.32 tons of garbage was collected and 4.7 tons of recyclables.

In July there were 5 building permits and 3 fire number permits issued.  A 24x24 detached garage on slab on Lester Drive; a 16x24 addition to garage on slab for beauty shop, state and county permits obtained, on Sand Road; a 22x30 addition on slab to existing cabin on County Z; a 12x20 deck on Verheyen Lane; a 20x24 detached garage on slab for storage only on Lemke Trail Drive.  All 3 fire numbers were for Smitty Drive.

Variance by Bachand for additional camper trailer on Big Woods Lane.  Plan Committee advised that they were not in favor of this as the application only said they wanted their friends/family to be near and that since they have almost 4 acres they did not feel it was an issue.  The family showed up and they spoke to the board about a family member not having much time left as she has been sick and wanting to spend time with her grandchildren.  Motion to allow the extra camping trailer a short time until December 30, 2026 and then it would need to be removed by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Groy.  Motion carried.

Discussion of new computer for clerk as the old one will not download to Windows 11 and Windows 10 is no longer supported.  Quickbooks and the election access require Windows 11.  The estimate is approximately $2500 and a grant has been applied for from the state election board for $2000.  Motion to approve ordering the computer up to $3000 by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Groy.  Motion carried.

Highway/road report showed that the crew has been hauling gravel to Schultz Lane.  Hilltop turn around has had gravel put in.  Waiting on rain to be able to grade roads.

Correspondence was a letter fro WPS regarding planning for next years road projects; an attorney letter for Debbie Frank (variance denied); and an email from Brightspeed regarding any permits needed for work in Beecher.  Chairman Younglove also mentioned that the current county administrator agreed to stay on until a replacement is hired.

A public comment was that the blind person signs on Krueger Road can be taken down as the lady moved to Wausaukee since her husband passed away.  Jeff Mueller also asked as to when we will be advertising the old pick up truck to be sold.  It was decided that we would put a notice on our website, the outside bulletin board and face book that we will be taking bids and they will need to be in before our next meeting.

The only item for future meetings is opening of those bids.

No announcements.

Motion to approve bills in the amount of $139,229.44 by Supervisor Wagner and seconded by Supervisor Groy.  Motion carried.
