There were 6 building permits issued last month. 27x52 manufactured on slab with a 10x8 front porch, a 12x20 rear deck and a 27x27 attached garage on French Road; a 24x36 detached garage on slab on Sand Road; a 40x50 dwelling on slab, consisting of a 20x40 attached garage and a 30x40 dwelling on Rocky Hill; 12x24 outbuilding on slab on Culp Lane; 21x30 outbuilding on slab on County Z; a 24x30 detached garage on Peterson Road. Tax agreement from the county was reviewed. Motion to accept the agreement by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Discussion on Boone Lane. It is in poor condition and no amount of patching will fix it. Chairman Younglove suggested that we have Scott construction review it next spring and get a gravel price vs. chip seal price for the ¼ mile lane, possibly turning the road back to gravel. A decision will be made in the spring.
Sand Road park has been used a great deal since the fishing club adopted it. They are requesting putting a porta potty there from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. They are also wondering if they could put a pavilion in the park. It would have to be a concrete slab with no walls according to the county due to it being in a flood plain. The board asked the clerk to get prices on a porta potty for the period requested. They also are not opposed to a pavilion but would like the club to put together a proposal approved by Bob Grandaw and the county zoning and bring it to the board for approval.
Reviewed the rescue squad contract. The price will remain at $31,000 for 2027. Motion to approve the contract by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Highway/road report showed that the crew has mixed the sand/salt for the upcoming winter season, has been doing some grading and worked on pulling apart a beaver dam. A resident expressed concern about some dead trees on Krueger Lane that he believes are in the right of way. Will have the road crew review and see if they can cut them down before they fall.
Correspondence was the fire department financials, school budget meeting information, thank you from Scott Construction along with a rating post card and a possible Deer Donation proclamation. The proclamation will be put on next month’s agenda.
