BOARD MEETING MINUTES
8/18/2020
The board meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. All board members were present along with 7 residents. Pledge of allegiance was recited.
A Beecher Lake District report was given by Supervisor Paulsen. They had a quarterly meeting via Zoom. They had a question on a No Wake sign at the boat landing. They need to check with Shoreland zoning. They will again assess $100 per resident on the 2020 tax bill. Their annual meeting will be Saturday, September 5th.
Minutes of the 7/14/2020 meeting were read. Motion to accept the minutes as read by Supervisor Groy, seconded by Supervisor Paulsen. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report given. Motion to accept the report as given by Supervisor Groy, seconded by Supervisor Paulsen. Motion carried.
Recycling report showed that in July there were 21.73 tons of garbage and 4.45 tons of recyclables/paper.
Last month there were 7 building permits and no fire signs.
Board of Review will be Friday, August 21st from 1-3 p.m. Alternates named for Board of Review are Daniel Bolander and Arthur Rettke.
Discussion of ongoing road improvement projects are that Jossart Road has been rebuilt, asphalt has been ground, the low spots have been built up 2 feet and 7 culverts have been installed. The road crew has also been brush cutting, grass cutting along roads and grading roads. A resident asked about the culvert on Krueger. The road crew will be asked to check on it.
Correspondence included propane pre buy from Naser. Since the price is similar to what others are seeing for the upcoming season, we will continue with Naser vs. sending out for bids.
Public comments included another issue with loose dogs this time on County L. Chairman Gehri will talk to the people and the clerk will send a letter to them as the dogs are not licensed.
Next meeting will be September 8th at 6:00 p.m. Motion by Supervisor Groy to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Paulsen. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
