BOARD MEETING MINUTES
10/13/20
The board meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. All board members were present along with 9 residents. Pledge of allegiance was recited.
There were no changes to the agenda.
Minutes of the 9/8/2020 meeting were read. Motion to accept the minutes as read by Supervisor Groy, seconded by Supervisor Paulsen. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report given. Motion to accept the report as given by Supervisor Groy, seconded by Supervisor Paulsen. Motion carried.
Recycling report showed that in September there were 21.13 tons of garbage and 3.64 tons of recyclables/paper.
Last month there were 9 building permits and 1 fire signs.
Website – Costs for the name registration will be between $25-30, annual hosting fee will be $198 per year, set up will be between $700 and $1000. Motion by Supervisor Paulsen, and seconded by Supervisor Groy to work with North Computer Service to get a website up and running for the town of Beecher. Motion carried.
Tax Collection Contract from the county is the same price as last year at $0.85 per parcel and a $250 administrative fee. Motion by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Paulsen to accept the proposal. Motion carried.
Appraisal Contract from Tennessen Appraisal was reviewed. It went up a bit to $8500 per year. Motion by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Paulsen to accept the contract. Motion carried.
Sign for town hall prices were reviewed. Supervisor Groy made a motion to order a 48x36 double sided sign with 6 foot posts, seconded by Supervisor Paulsen. Motion carried.
Discussion of ongoing road improvement projects are that there has been grading of and brushing roads. A new culvert has been put in on Krueger Lane, a tire for the tractor has been ordered and a new culvert has been ordered for Fire Lane. A resident mentioned that there is a large hole on Butterfield which Supervisor Groy is aware of.
Correspondence was the fire department quarterly report.
Public comments included that there is a refrigerator setting in a yard along County Z and the resident was concerned about safety.
Next meeting will be November 10th at 6:00 p.m. Motion by Supervisor Groy to adjourn, seconded by Supervisor Paulsen. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
