The board meeting was called to order at 6:20 p.m. Pledge of allegiance was recited. All board members were present along with 8 residents.
Motion by Supervisor Groy to adopt the agenda as given and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Minutes of the 10/10/23 meeting were read. Motion to accept the minutes as read by Supervisor Groy, seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report given. Motion to accept the report as given by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Recycling report for September were 17.7 tons of garbage and 4.11 tons of recyclables.
For the month of October there were 2 building permits and 0 fire signs. A 30x70 dwelling on a slab on Peterson Rd and a 8x10 back addition and 48 sf front addition on Country Pride Dr.
Rescue Squad Contract was reviewed. Motion to accept contract by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Discussion of Zoning and Crew salary adjustments. Supervisor Groy made a motion to approve up to $1 per hour for the road crew and to move Bob Grandaw’s salary from $2650 to $3000 and Val Hirte’s salary from $1320 to $1500. Motion was seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Action on Budget Recommendation – Budget resolution was read in its entirety stating that the increase will be 16.4% or $50,000 to be collected in 2024 in addition to the levy. The town electors voted 11 yeas and 0 nays to approve. Motion to adopt budget levy of $354,959 by Supervisor Groy and motion seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Discussion of ongoing road improvement projects showed that the loader needed some work and the crew has been grading and brushing along the roads. Sand/salt has been mixed and is ready for use.
There was no correspondence.
Public comments were that there is a realtor sign too close to the road on Tower Line Road.
Motion by Chairman Younglove to approve payment of bills in the amount of $51,949.73. Motion seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
