The board meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.  Pledge of allegiance was recited.  Board members Chairman Mike Younglove and Supervisor John Wagner were present along with 5 residents.  Supervisor Dan Groy was absent and excused.

Motion by Supervisor Wagner to adopt the agenda as given and seconded by Chairman Younglove.  Motion carried. 

Minutes of the 11/14/23 meeting were read.  Motion to accept the minutes as read by Supervisor Wagner, seconded by Chairman Younglove.  Motion carried. 

Treasurer’s report given.  Motion to accept the report as given by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried. 

Recycling report for September were 20 tons of garbage and 2.24 tons of recyclables.  Prices will be going up a bit starting in the new year.  Chairman Younglove is checking into the fuel surcharge. 

Report on building permits and fire signs showed 3 building permits and one fire sign.  Sonnenberg Road, an 8x40 shipping container; Lester Dr, a 20x22 addition on slab; and Sand Road, a 12x28 outbuilding on gravel plus the fire sign. 

The clerk passed the election worker list to the board for review.  The list contains two people that are Republican affiliated.  The rest are unaffiliated.  Motion to approve the list made by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried. 

Discussion of ongoing road improvement projects showed the crew is doing maintenance on the equipment, sand/salt has been put on intersections after snow, a tractor tire was replaced along with a couple of truck tires.  There was a recent bunch of tires that were dumped alongside Crowe Road.  A sheriff’s report has been made and the board is looking into a possible reward to find out who dumped the tires. 

Correspondence was the Ahern report on the fire extinguishers; a tax lien document from the county on Beecher properties (3); and final transportation aid amount and statement of assessment were sent to the town. 

Public comments from Ken Hanson were that the county is still working on how to pay for roads. 

Motion was made to approve bills in the amount of $31,442.90 by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried. 

Next meeting will be January 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.  Motion to adjourn by Supervisor Wagner and seconded by Chairman Younglove.  Motion carried.  Meeting closed at 6:20 p.m.
