The board meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Pledge of allegiance was recited. All board members were present along with 6 residents.
Motion by Supervisor Groy to adopt the agenda as given and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Minutes of the 12/12/23 meeting were read. Motion to accept the minutes as read by Supervisor Groy, seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report given. Motion to accept the report as given by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner. Motion carried.
Recycling report for December were 21.4 tons of garbage and 3.19 tons of recyclables. Recycling was up 12 tons over 2022.
For the month of December there were 2 building permits and one fire sign. A 10x16 outbuilding on Sand Road; a 40x81 outbuilding on a slab on Jossart Road and a fire sign on Reed Road.
Bob Grandaw was available to give a year end report on permits. For 2023 Beecher had 88 permits which were up 32% from 2022. Increase in dollar value was up 29% to 2.2 million. Val Hirte noted that the land use permits were up by 4 and there was one citation and another permit that is being worked through.
Fire Department end of year financial statements were handed out and reviewed.
Discussion of ongoing road improvements showed that the main roads were plowed today and they will be out early in the morning to finishing cleaning up. The roads were plowed/sanded twice so far. The crew also did some brushing and grading of roads in December.
Correspondence was a letter from the rescue squad updating on the improvements made to their building this year and were they are at as far as staffing. They continue to look for additional staffing.

Motion to approve payment of bills in the amount $262,735.45 by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Groy. Motion carried.
