Recycling/garbage report showed 18.23 tons of garbage and 3.94 tons of recyclables for the month of March. We are getting complaints of bins being too close together, they MUST be 3 feet apart, also overfilled bins, lids must be closed.
There were no building permits and no fire signs in the month of March.
Variance for N17146 Marek Road was that a trailer was taken off of the property and the owner wanted to build a garage for storage. The parcel is less than 2 acres. Motion to approve the variance by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Groy. Motion carried.
Discussion of clean up day. The towns of Pembine and Dunbar both do a full week clean up with each resident needing to pick up a voucher from the clerk and are limited to one load. We can do either the third or fourth week in June. Motion to do the third week in June as our clean up week by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Groy. Motion carried. Clerk will get the vouchers ready for residents to pick up.
Picnic tables were discussed, one for the park on Sand Road and one for the Beecher Lake park. Supervisor Wagner is looking into costs of building vs. purchasing as it is cheaper and we do have someone willing to donate wood but it would have to be treated. Tabled until next meeting.
Crushing quotes were reviewed. 3500 Ton of crushed gravel for $12,500 and breaker run/road gravel for a cost of $17,211.54. Motion by Chairman Younglove and seconded by Supervisor Groy to approve the quotes. Motion carried.
Discussion of ongoing road improvement projects; the crew has been out checking the roads, fire lane is bad due to trucks hauling wood out. There are no plans to do anything to it until they are done and they are to fix the road when they are done hauling. There are problems with the beavers again this year on fire lane. Also the crew has been brushing, sweeping and hauling gravel.
Correspondence was the fire department financial report and a flyer on Marinette County Clean Sweep. If anyone is interested in the Marinette County Clean Sweep info, please contact the clerk and she can get that for you.
