The board meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.  Pledge of allegiance was recited.  All board members were present along with 15 residents.

Motion to adopt agenda as given by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried. 

Minutes of 2/11/25 meeting were read.  Motion to accept the minutes as read by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried.

Treasurer’s report was read.  Motion to accept the report as given by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried.

Recycling/garbage report showed that we had 14.94 tons of garbage and 5.7 tons of recyclables collected in February. 

Report on building permits/fire signs showed that there were 2 building permits issued.  A 10x30 and 8x26 deck on North Lake Lane and a shipping container on Shangrila Dr.

Variance discussion for John Anderson on a second shipping container on his parcel on Shangrila Dr.  He plans for this to be a temporary storage until he builds a pole building.  Chairman Younglove said that his opinion would be that there is a time limit on the second container.  Motion to approve variance with a 3 year time limit for the second container by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried. 

Discussed a variance from the Cortez family for additional campers on their parcel on Dexter Drive.  One camper is currently permitted.  Ordinance only allows one camper per parcel.  Family members can come and put their campers there up to 9 days to visit.  Motion to deny variance by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried. 

Municipal court ordinance needed to be amended due to adding the Town of Niagara.  Motion by Supervisor Wagner and seconded by Supervisor Groy to approve the updated ordinance.  Motion carried. 

The town is looking at replacing our 2001 truck.  It will cost approximately $240,000 and we need to authorize moving forward by choosing a chassis and the fabrication will take 3 to 4 months.  We also will be getting a loan to pay for the truck.  We expect the truck to be delivered in late 2025 or early 2026.  Motion to proceed by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried. 

Highway report is that the crew has done some plowing and trying to keep things cleaned up and equipment ready. 

Correspondence was that Chairman Younglove received the bridge inspection and will be passing it on to the road crew; WISLR proposal by Ayers received; Chairman received a Chamber letter requesting fireworks donation; salt shed inspection is coming up; Supervisor Wagner looked into stray animals going to Almost Home Animal Shelter.  The shelter will not take our animals at this time.  The town is looking into a local solution. 

Public comments included that the fish biologist contacted the clerk about setting up a camera and kiosk for feedback at the boat landing on the Menominee River by the Four Seasons Resort.  He is willing to come and give us a presentation when the survey is complete.  Also Ken Hanson, county supervisor stated that the county is looking at changing the set back on the Pike River from 450 feet to 150 feet.  He will keep us informed. 

Items for future meetings are that the Planning Committee is getting close to completing the 20 year plan to bring before the board for approval. 

Announcements for upcoming events are voting on April 1, 2025. 

Motion to approve bills in the amount of $66,349.67 by Supervisor Wagner and seconded by Supervisor Groy.  Motion carried. 

Next meeting will be April 15th following the Annual Meeting at 6:00 p.m.
