The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Present were Cindy Butterfield, John Wagner, Dave Paulsen and Lindi Magnuson. Jeff Mueller was absent.
The town board reviewed the updated Comprehensive Plan and approved it at the May 13, 2025 meeting.
We looked at Chapter 12 to find some objectives we could work on. On page 139, the last two boxes on Housing were discussed. We will work on looking up articles, establishing a recognition program, and review the Chamber of Commerce’s new visitor guide that is coming out to see if any additions are needed. Dave Paulsen will head these items up. On page 140, second to last box on Transportation, Cindy will work on getting copies of any deeds filed with Marinette County on roads in the town. Page 142, we will look at the Chamber’s guide to see how that fits into box 3 of the Utilities & Community Facilities. On page 144, the last box on the page, John Wagner will look at getting information on fire risks, open burning and potential wildfires. On page 145, last box, Lindi Magnuson will look into water activities in the town. All of this information we believe we can add to our webpage to give people another way of gathering information for living in the Town of Beecher. We also plan to work on a calendar so that we can update annually as needed to the plan and our website.
