Report on building permits and fire sign applications showed one fire sign and one building permit both for Town Corner Lake Road, a 40x60 manufactured home on basement.

Discussion of subdivision on Butterfield Road was next.  Seven residents spoke up that they opposed the subdivision.  Their complaints were about the condition of Butterfield Lane and possible drainage issues.  Donn Renk made a statement that he had purchased the property in 2014, had planted 16,000 trees over the years, and has had the property in MFL.  He has had the property for sale for the past year but the only people interested wanted smaller parcels.  Donn worked with a surveyor, the DNR, and an attorney and has divided the property into 6 lots, 5 of which have waterfront.  He has followed all of the rules that the town has, the county has and the DNR has.  The Planning Committee for the town has reviewed the plan and had no issues with it.  Copies of the plan were sent to those parties within 100 feet and an additional five parties that the neighbors felt should be contacted.  Due to the entire board not being available and the neighbor’s request that more time should be allotted to review, a motion to table the approval was made by Supervisor Groy and seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried and the item will be put on the March agenda for possible approval.

Highway/road report was that the crew has been snowplowing and cleaning up on the roadways.  The tractor is back from the shop after repair.

No correspondence.

Public comments were that Art Rettke mentioned that there is a part of Smeester School Road that is open and has a dip that he feels should have a guardrail.  Supervisor Groy said that they would look at it during their spring road review.

No items for future meetings other than the subdivision.  No announcements.

Motion by Supervisor Groy to approve payment of bills in the amount of $1,373,358.71 which was seconded by Supervisor Wagner.  Motion carried.

Supervisor Groy asked Ken Hanson if he had anything to share regarding the county and there is to be a new county administrator starting in March.
