The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all. There were 8 residents in attendance in addition to the full board. Dan Groy presided as chairman of the annual meeting.
The clerk read the minutes of the 2020 annual meeting. A motion by Dave Paulsen, seconded by Bob Gehri to accept minutes as read. Motion carried.
The annual financial report was presented by the clerk. Motion by Bruce Djupstrom, seconded by Jeff Mueller to accept report as given. Motion carried.
Bob Gehri made a motion to renew the contract with Pembine Cemetery Assn for $1200, seconded by Jeff Mueller. Motion carried.
Jeff Mueller made a motion to renew the contract with the Pembine Dunbar Beecher Fire Dept for $10,000, seconded by Bruce Djupstrom. Motion carried.
Bruce Djupstrom made a motion to renew the contract with Pembine Dunbar Beecher Rescue Squad for $19,000, seconded by Art Rettke. Motion carried.
Dave Paulsen made a motion to designate the town’s financial institutions as Forward Financial Credit Union, seconded by Bob Gehri. Motion carried.
Jeff Mueller made a motion to designate the town’s newspaper as the Peshtigo Times, seconded by Bruce Djupstom. Motion carried.
Cindy Butterfield made a motion to post the town notices at the town hall and Patti’s Platter in addition to the town website, seconded by Jeff Mueller. Motion carried.
Bob Gehri made a motion to put $21,000 into the equipment fund, seconded by Bruce Djupstom. Motion carried.
It was decided to leave the fire equipment reserve fund as is.
Motion by Jeff Mueller to donate $250 to the Little League this year. Motion seconded by Art Rettke. Motion carried.
Decision to not donate to the Christmas Party at this time as it was not held last year due to Covid.
Open discussion included an update that the town is working with Pembine on building a salt shed, our cost to be $50,000 and would be a 3 year pay off with savings.
Also that we may have to put some road work on hold temporarily due to needing the have gravel crushed this year. The company that does it will be in the area this year and may not be back for up to 10 years.
Last issue discussed was Schultz Lane, the angle of 2 of the hills is too steep. We are working on dust control tests. Will continue to work on this issue.
