The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all. There were 4 residents in attendance in addition to the Chairman Younglove and Supervisor Groy. Supervisor Paulsen was excused.
The clerk read the minutes of the 2021 annual meeting. A motion by Bruce Djupstrom, seconded by John Wagner to accept minutes as read. Motion carried.
The annual financial report was presented by the clerk. Motion by John Wagner, seconded by Art Rettke to accept report as given. Motion carried.
Jeff Mueller made a motion to renew the contract with Pembine Cemetery Assn for $1200, seconded by Mike Younglove. Motion carried.
John Wagner made a motion to renew the contract with the Pembine Dunbar Beecher Fire Dept for $10,000, seconded by Jeff Mueller. Motion carried.
Art Rettke made a motion to renew the contract with Pembine Dunbar Beecher Rescue Squad for $22,000, seconded by Bruce Djupstrom. Motion carried.
Jeff Mueller made a motion to designate the town’s financial institutions as Forward Financial Credit Union, seconded by Bruce Djupstrom. Motion carried.
Mike Younglove made a motion to designate the town’s newspaper as the Peshtigo Times, seconded by Art Rettke. Motion carried.
Cindy Butterfield mentioned that the town notices need to be posted on the web site plus one other location. She posts at the town hall and Patti’s Platter in addition to the town website. This will remain the same.
Dan Groy made a motion to add to the budget $21,000 for the equipment fund, seconded by Jeff Mueller. Motion carried.
Motion to leave the fire equipment reserve fund as is by Mike Younglove, seconded by John Wagner. Motion carried.
Motion by Mike Younglove to donate $250 to the Little League if they have a league this year. Motion seconded by Jeff Mueller. Motion carried.
Decision to not donate to the Christmas Party at this time as it was not held last year due to snowstorm.
Board salaries were discussed by Cindy Butterfield. Currently the chair gets $4600 and the Supervisors get $2800. Due to the extra work they all are doing she made a motion to increase the Chairman’s salary to $6000 per year and the Supervisor’s salary to $4000 per year beginning after the next election. John Wagner seconded the motion. Motion carried.
