GFL requires all materials to be loose in your curbside cart.
Cardboard – remove any shipping materials, bread down and flatten boxes.
Mixed Paper – newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, office paper, cereal and food boxes
Plastic containers-clean and empty food and beverage containers, soap bottles and just, empty pill bottles
Metal containers – clean and empty aluminum and metal food and beverage containers
NOT collected curbside – plastic and pet food bags, batteries and electronics, food, yard and pet waste, medical and household hazardous waste
All recyclables MUST be loose in the cart. Bagged recyclables are not sorted and plastic bags get tangled in sorting equipment causing recycling to shut down.
Are you a wish cycler? DON’T toss questionable items in the recycling cart hoping they can somehow be recycled; Recycle only the items listed above.
